Hello

I am a serial "doer", not to be busy, but so that I satisfy my curiosity of things. If I have an idea for a song, I will work on an entire project, record and publish said project. If I see talent in someone, I will cheer them on to multiple and amplify it. I believe everyone is this way; you too would like to DO the thing that you think about to have a positive impact on those around you. I've embraced the prompting of the Holy Spirit, traveled to several international destinations at times as a performer to lift the morale of others. Other times, in a combat-related role as Soldier.

My Story

I'll tell you enough of my story so YOU can relate and see yourself in it, well elements of it. I came from a faraway place, legally, in 1991. Shortly after, I embarked on a journey of military service, and I loved it and I got to do some cool-ish things. Here's where my story can help you: (1) Don't be afraid to embrace something someone is encouraging you to do, they most likely recognized talent in you and want to encourage you to accept your assignment. This is how I ended up in the US Army officer corps. (2) Don't be a victim, this is America and no one can really keep you down by what they think, say or feel–improve yourself and do good work.

I became an ambassador for my name, my God (Father of Jesus) and made an impact in a few places. (3) The difference between you and the person who succeeds, is that they put action to their words, thoughts and dreams, despite their self-doubts, they were persistent. I have received many "NOs" in business, but yet was able to buy a piece of commercial property and build a Bakery from scratch. Then because my family loves love, marriage and family, we bought a wedding venue on 25 acres, after we got a "No". (4) Lastly, don't, DO NOT quit because you fail the first time! Over a 3 year period, I wrote several songs, but they would not pass the Darla approval (Darla is my wife and a talented musician). Then one day, she looked at my lyrics and went over to the piano, and I knew I was finally onto something! I wrote several songs, one of which was a finalist (we were the finalists?), and another made the semifinal, for a reputable song curation company, song writing competition.

Lastly, even when it's hard, have an attitude of gratitude (ugh, that was so cliché!). But seriously, gratefulness will take you a lot farther than you would go without it.
